Makin The Money

This blog has been around for just over a week now. I have made a whole .30 cents so far. I’m a surprised, no! This is a new blog, people don’t trust me yet, they don’t know about it yet or there not sure these programs work. The big part is I am enjoying myself and I love talking about how I make money. I started with nothing, now I am able to start paying off my debt. I don’t have a real job so this is a big deal.

The next few weeks I’m going to be talking about the Get paid to industry a little more. This includes paid posting and offers sites. This is where I make most of my money. I also hope to start a weekly post about home based business that you can do offline. For people who are looking for something they can actually touch. So check back the next few weeks and let me know what you think.

I love to play games and if I can get paid to play them I love them even more, Moola.com is a site that pays you to play games against other people, they give you money to start and give you boosters along the way. So you don’t have to put any of your own money in.

It’s not a get rich quick thing, or even a get rich thing. But it is fun and I know a few people who have cashed out at $50 or $100. I don’t get a chance to play too much so I only have about a dollar in there, I also play until I have nothing so I’m not trying to make money myself.

I love sites like this because they are entertaining and fun. They also help to waste time between classes.

I love using Entrecard. It’s a great service that allows me to advertise on sites that I normally would not be able to. It also allows me to find some very interesting blogs.

Advertising is a very important way to make money online. You have to get your website and product out there and known. I don’t have much money myself to spend on advertising right now. So being able to do it for free with Entrecard is a huge help.

What is Entrecard? If you don’t already know read on if you do know skip this section. Entrecard is a website where you sign up your blog and create a card, you display a drop off point on your blog so that others can drop off there cards when they visit. The more appealing the card you have the more people will notice you. Right now for this blog I have a very simple site provided card. That is because I don’t have anything that will really stand out as being my site yet. This blog is still in production. Once I get a logo or a theme I will be changing my card.

There are good things and bad things when it comes to Entrecard, the bad thing is that people tend to only visit to drop the card, then there gone. But I look at that as traffic that I would not have gotten, traffic helps to move a site forward. Who knows maybe they will come back and read later.

I have noticed though that as I go through my drop offs I will stop if something interest me. So if your using Entercard and you want people to stop, come up with some great post titles. Thats what I look at first. If I don’t find it interesting I don’t stop.

So far for this very new blog and only 2 advertisements that started yesterday I have gotten 47 clicks. Not too bad for a blog thats only about a week old.

I love talking to people and I love to write, I also love to get paid to do this. Maybe that is why I love blogging so much. MyLot is a site that will let you meet new people and get paid to talk about anything, you can even promote your website or blog.

MyLot is just one of the many ways I make money online. Do I make thousands from them directly, no. But I do get a few dollars here and there from them and it brings some traffic to my websites and blogs. I’m not going to complain when I get paid to promote my own stuff.  The best part about MyLot is that the people are very friendly, helpful and really want to be there not just to make money, but to talk about issues and current events. There are topics about health, weight loss, making money, movies and more. The community is huge and they are very active.

I know what your thinking, you can’t do that online! Duh, this blog is not just about online opportunities it’s about making money. You can still do that in the real world. It doesn’t all have to be online.

I have been doing mystery shopping for quite some time now. I enjoy it and I get to choose what I do. I do movie checks, where I count how many people are going to see a movie, I do restaurant shops where I get free food. I like the versatility of doing this and once I get a laptop I can do both online things and my mystery shopping at the same time. Of course that laptop will have to wait until some bills are paid and I get a new car. Mine broke and I’m not spending the $2000 to fix a $300 car.

This is a new site I found through Pay Per Post.  It is a site that will allow you to play short 5 second ads on your site. You would only hear them once and you get paid every time they are played.

If you want to know more about them read my post on Pay Per Play on my blog Everything and Anything. I have signed up to test them on this blog. If you don’t like them please comment here and let me know.  I don’t know when I’ll get them on here, but I’m thinking soon. I really just want to see how people respond to them.

If enough people like them I will keep them, of course if you all hate them I will be removing them. So voice your opinion once I get them up and running. I will do another post at that time, unless it’s later today.

I’ve decided to test out a site I found through another blogger. It’s called 125 box and it seems like a great idea. We will have to see how well it works on a new site.  I like the idea because it allows me to control what my site looks like, the ads on it and I don’t have to change it every time I get a new advertiser since all adds will be 125 x 125.

Of course I will be keeping you all updated at to how this works out for me. Right now I have it on my interior design blog ABC’s Of Fine Design and I am waiting for approval on this blog. If I don’t get approved I’ll let you know that too!

One advertising venue I have found is biddvertiser and as you can see I use them on this blog. They are a great program like ad sense but they also display ebay auctions along with regular text ads. I have made just over $5 with them in about 3 weeks. Compared to adsense that is wonderful.

They also allow you to advertise on a feed, I’m working on getting that set up right after I finish this post. You get paid much more per click then with some of the other programs I have found.
