I am a member of a few social networks. One of them is blog catalog. I applied yesterday to have this blog put onto my account. I got an email this morning saying it was rejected as it appears my blog is around only to make me money or it is a spam blog. The first makes sense to me as it is a way for me to make money. It’s also a way for me to help others make money, but unless you actually read it that way you probably wont’ see it.
I’m okay with not having it approved. It’s not a big deal. I just find it interesting that my blog is considered a spam blog. I usually picture those as being without original content and tons of google ad’s all over the place. Oh and they usually have a pr 8 or something stupid like that because they spam to get links.
So my blog apparently is a spam blog. maybe I need to make some changes, like talk about SEO that I know nothing about. Maybe I’ll find a guest blogger instead. That way you may actually learn something useful. I know a little, but it would only help out someone just getting started online I think.

I have been haveing some issues with my forum, Blogger Love, it got so bad that I had to delete everything and start over. I got all of that done and then it wouldn’t let me install anything on that domain. I ended up writeing blue host support and they fixed it. Then it
didn’t show up so they fixed it again. Then it wouldn’t let me install it so they fixed it and installed the forum for me. I’m sure the person just thought I was dumb and couldn’t do it, but either way it got done and pretty quickly to.
This is one thing I look for in a hosting provider good customer service. I had web.com at one point and they were horrable, they took my money and ran when I told them I didn’t want the service anymore as they cheeted me. I took it as a lession learned and I will never use them again.

My money making has been slow this month. Some if it is my own personal issues getting in the way and I believe some of it has to do with the US recession and people not spending money on things anymore. Therefor they don’t click on ads for products.
Hopefully it will pick up soon. I am trying a few new advertising ideas and I will be getting back to you on those shortly. I may be taking the corner ad off of this site as it has had no advertisers and I haven’t made anything off of it. I think it would do better on a site that has more traffic.

I wrote about this get paid to scam on my blog everything and anything and then I thought it would be good to post here as well. I have suggested a few get paid to sites in the past. I have used them and have been paid by them. The two I use are Swat Cash and Treasure Trooper.
Recently it has come to my attention that there is a site out there called pbcash that is paying you to join these sites as the admins referral. They then make money off of you at the other get paid to site. Now most people would not have a problem with this, but this site after getting a good amount of sign ups has told all of it’s users that they are scammers and will not be paying them for their hard work. It is sites like these that give Get Paid To a bad name.
Please watch out for these sites as you check out the internet. Do some research into them and make sure they have paid. If you do join a new site, which I still suggest don’t pay for anything or only pay for one thing that will get you to payout and then see if they pay. That way you are not out a ton of money. I usually when trying out a site only do offers that are free, that way I’m not out anything.

I have noticed that my project wonderful ad’s are not selling like they were. I think it’s because I have seen a huge decrease in traffic over the last 2 weeks. I have been busy and unable to spend the time needed to get that traffic.
I’m still not going to give up on them. I think they are a great addition to the advertising scene, I’m just wondering if there is some hot new thing out there I’m missing. Tomorrow my search for it starts when I find it I will let you know.

If you are really good at getting referrals you should check out mylot. Right now they are giving out up to 50% of what your referrals earn. That means if they make $20 between now and May 31st you will get $10 not bad for not doing much right.
Actually mylot is a great place to meet new people and get the word out about your site. I have had a few people hop over here to check out my blog and let me know what they think. I haven’t been very active lately, but I think I’m going to try to be right now. If I can help my referrer out by posting more thats okay with me.

I will admit I don’t get much traffic and it has gone down a lot the last 2 weeks as I haven’t been able to get anything up and going because of personal matters. So this week I’m hoping to work on that some more along with fixing my forum that died last week.
One thing I am going to do is get much more involved with entrecard and stumble upon. They are right now my biggest sources of traffic. If you have not checked out either of these sites I suggest you do.
The next thing I’m going to do is visit blogs and leave comments. That is something else I haven’t had time to do. Not only does it up the links into your site your comment may make people interested in seeing what else you have to say. Don’t spam, post a good on topic comment. You will see a difference.
I have a few other things I’m doing too, but I won’t be able to start that yet. What do you use to get traffic to your site?
