Grow a garden and cash in

Posted by Holly On April - 29 - 2008

You may have seen the story today on Good morning America about how people are growing mini farms in their own back yards and making money off of them. I love the idea and would do it myself but I live in the middle of farm land so there is not a huge demand for produce here. In a city though I could see it working even with a small garden

This would be a great home based business for someone who wants to stay home with the kids or $10 off $30 orderjust can’t work because of a disability. It’s also great as a part time job for someone who just wants some extra cash. Some of these people brought in $200 or more a month, that would pay my car insurance and a week of gas. Not too bad. It’s also an easy start up all you need is a yard and some seeds and a few restaurants or neighbors to sell to. Keep your prices lower then the distributors the restaurants normally buy from and your in business.

The best part is if your a stay at home mom or dad you can get the kids involved and get them out and doing something that helps the family and gives them the much needed exercise kids need. Oh and don’t forget about the bonding time with them.

Social spark and the fun you can have

Posted by Holly On April - 25 - 2008

Now that social spark is live you should check it out. I am really happy I got in on this because it is a big thing that will really help average people make some extra money. The best part is that you don’t even have to write post for them if you don’t’ want to. You can just use their sponsorship and make some money that way. I have used one on this blog and I have another one set to start on here soon. The other thing I like about social spark is that they are search engine friendly. All links are no follow and you are required to show that the post is sponsored by using a badge, like the one at the bottom of this post. I also like it because I can give my honest opinion of a product or service without worrying about meeting a preset tone.

SocialSpark is different from other pay you to blog services. One it’s a social site so you can get on and talk to people and figure out who actually writes the blogs you read. I couldn’t believe how many blogs I have looked at but had no clue that the person wrote another blog I read sometimes. It’s nice to know that way you feel like you know the person better and can enjoy their blog that much more.

For any blogger looking to make some money from home Social spark is a great way to do it. Not only does it bring more traffic to your blog by getting you out there in the network, but you meet some great people and make good friends in the process.

Offline Home based business

Posted by Holly On April - 25 - 2008

I have decided that I need to start talking more about home based business that are offline. There are many types of these business available. In fact I use to be an Avon Lady. I would still be doing it but the competition is just too much where I’m at. Everyone and their mother is an Avon lady. Once I am able to move I may start it back up again. I did love doing it.

Anyway I’m going to try at least twice a month to talk about an offline home based business. I’m also on a hunt for international ones, so if you happen to belong to a good company that offers some home based business opportunity, that is offline and available world wide. Let me know about it.

Check back next week for the first post.

A very slow month

Posted by Holly On April - 23 - 2008

I have been very busy with school work and I’m trying to get my butt out of the computer chair and out walking every day so I haven’t done well with the money making. I think this month will be the worst in the past 6, but you never know I may hit the jackpot in the next week and a half.

I have signed up for a few new sites that allow me to make some extra cash but no approval yet. As you can see my sponsorship is over and I’m waiting to see if a new one becomes available to stick it back up since no one seemed to have a problem with it.

Right now my focus is on my forum, blogger love. It’s starting to pick up again after the hack so I’m very excited to see members talking again and sharing with each other. I’m planning on doing a contest either next month or in June so join up and see what you can win. It’s usually advertising space on one of my blogs or the forum itself, but I have been known to give out gift cards and cash!

Working on more stuff

Posted by Holly On April - 19 - 2008

I have been very lazy when it comes to making money this week. I just am burned out from everything including my school work. I’m hoping to step it up a little next week, but who knows. I am also thinking a really need to find work. I started looking yesterday and today and nothing. So I’m back to the computer trying to find more ways to make some extra cash.

The social Spark banner is doing well. This is the only blog I have it on right now and it runs out in a few days. So far only one comment on it and it was good so I think I will try to get another sponsorship soon. My work with Pay Per Post has been okay, but it’s been a slow month. I’m hoping that things pick up soon.

As for other things I am doing very well with Swat Cash this month their new world map game has helped me to reach the $100 bonus early and I bought a few other things to help me out on the map as well. If you haven’t signed up I suggest you do.

So that is my update, if you do have an opinion or questions on any of the advertising I use, please let me know.

New Advertising from Social Spark

Posted by Holly On April - 15 - 2008

As you can see I have a new way to advertise on this site. The advert will only run for a week so that I can get a feel for it and you can let me know what you think. I don’t mind the sponsored by part that pops up, but I know some do. They are talking about having just the bar available so I may do that. I do want to know what you think of it and if you hate the whole thing or just part of it. The advertisers will change from time to time and you should only see the pop up once per advertiser.

This is a trial thing so if people really hate it I may not use it. I think it would also fit well on my interior design blog if an appropriate advertiser is available. Anyway let me know what you think with a comment.

Get $25 and send money online for free!

Posted by Holly On April - 14 - 2008

Over at Brain Foggles I read about this great new site where you can send money for free. The site is called Revolution Money Exchange and you get $25 for signing up. They also have a great referral program where you can get $10 per referral. A great idea if you ask me.

I like it because it’s easy to use, has a really nice set up and works kinda like paypal, but no fees. You can even collect money from people with a button on your website. I’m thinking I’m going to use this as a donation type thing, that way it’s separate from my other money and I can use it for just my website or charity I choose.

I also think it would be a great thing for my family, my sisters live a distance away and if we need to send money it goes to the post office and we have to wait a few days to get it. Now we can send it with no fees and maybe the $25 for free will help to convince them to sign up.

If your interested, and don’t mind helping me make $10 you can sign up by clicking the image below. Thank you in advance!

Seo forums and how helpful they are

Posted by Holly On April - 10 - 2008

I promised all of you that I would try to find more SEO information so that both you and I can learn something, well I have found a great forum for you to check out. They have great information from new and seasioned internet users and I have found a few helpful tips I’m going to try.

The best part about them is that you can have your site reviewed by members. I haven’t posted mine yet, but I may eventually. Keep in mind this is a new forum so there is not a whole lot of information, but I found the forum though a great site so they may soon get a ton of people on there talking.
