I have been using Pepperjam Network. for a while now and I have to say I have been pretty happy with them. No I have not made a ton of cash, but that has to do with the fact that I haven’t been promoting them a whole lot either. I plan to change that very quickly.

So many people talk about page rank. You would think it actually meant something, yes that’s right it doesn’t mean anything. Yes some advertisers use it, but the big names that you want on your website or blog do not care about page rank. What they do care about is how many people actually read your blog or website and click on the links you have. That is what gets them sales, that is what makes them money.

If you have a wordpress blog you need to install the all in one SEO pack. This thing is a lifesaver and makes SEO very easy. You still have to get links and everything for yourself, but if you stop looking at page rank it will be very easy to do. Also if you find out how much competition you have for keywords it will allow you to chose keywords that are not as competitive. Example. My Interior design Blog where I have home decor tips is ranked in the top 100 in both yahoo and Google. Not bad considering it was once in the top 15 in yahoo without me doing any SEO. What I have done though is found that not many people search for interior design tips, but they do search for home decor tips. So I have changed my keywords to fit that topic.

I have been doing this for about 3 weeks. During the last two weeks I have been asked by 3 companies to do reviews for them. This is what brings you traffic and can get you clicks on not only the compines links that asked for the review, but maybe even those affiliate links you have hidden on your site.

That was something that I just read from someone trying to make money online. This person has been working hard and was told it was easy and anyone can do it. Well I’m telling you it’s not and not everyone can do it. It takes time hard work and some investment.

Now if your just looking for $50 a month spending money that’s different, but if you really want to make an income you may be able to live off of, now that’s a whole other story. First you have to invest in a domain name, even when doing paid blogging they want you to have your own domain, your own domain means hosting. More money there and once you get the website or blog up and running, well then you have to get people to it which means more money on traffic.

If you go with affiliate marketing, eventually after sometime you will figure out what works for you and what does not. Not everyone is cut out to make money online. Many people can if they learn time is key and you will not become rich over night. Start out small with one or two affiliate programs. When I say this I don’t mean sign up for 2 major programs that have 20 thousand different companies and apply to all of them. I mean apply to the program and only apply to one or two companies, that way you can get your feet wet and get use to affiliate marketing. If you decided to go that route.

I decided as my forum was just sitting there and I couldn’t do any more mod installs for a while that I was going to go ahead and open it up to the public. So if you want to join a great get paid to post forum you should really check it out.

Cash and Chat I hope will be a little different from other paid to post as many just are filled with people only looking to make money. Yes that’s a good goal but some are very obsessed with it and we do welcome them, but I also hope to draw people that are looking for a great community and some fun. I decided that I needed to really start working on the affiliate end of my online money making. I have not done very well at all with this so I’m up for trying new things and new products. One program I have decided to try is MoreNiche and so far it’s promising. They don’t have many choices for advertising, but they have some that are not very competitive and pay pretty well.

They have a few health, money and adult related products. They also have a one that I’m thinking of makeing a website for. I’m still learning how to do all of that and don’t have money to pay for anything, so it’s going to take some time. I think though that it could be fun. I wrote the other day about not being able to get traffic to many of my blogs. Today on my design blog I have gotten over 700 visitors because of one post about self watering pots. Apparently I just need to find more interesting and new things to talk about!

The best part about all of this unplanned traffic is that I have used widgetbucks ad’s on that site, but Saturday I switched to a large banner where I get paid per visitor. So I should be seeing a large increase in my commissions within the next few days. I love their new widget. I have made much more now then I did before.

Oh and did I mention that post also got over 400 visits yesterday.

I’m trying out a new program called Linkbucks. I just signed up today so we will see how it works, for now I have only changed one link. I’ll be working on more soon. I’m sure you wondering what I am talking about so here is how the program works.

You sign up and find links to other websites that you already have on your blog or website. You can also link to your own site. The link itself doesn’t really matter. You take that URL and you put it into their system. They then give you a new link that will either take you to a landing page where an add is displayed for a few seconds or you can choose to have a banner at the top of the page the person is going to. I thought my blog Savey Spender would be a good one to try the banner out on.

You get paid so much for so many clicks. Really I think it could be a great program as there are many links I know people click on that I don’t get paid anything for but wish I could. The thing you have to remember is that this is only for non-paid links. Not for links you are being paid for.
