Get Paid To Post On Forums

Posted by Holly On July - 12 - 2008

It was a funny thing I did yesterday. I went to John Chow’s blog to drop off and entrecard and I started reading about paid forum posting. Now the first thing that pops into my head is spam posting that I usually delete from my forums. So I of course commented and said this just would not work and I believe the kind of posting he was talking about would not. He was talking about advertisers paying you to post about their product on a forum. Now I’m sure the money is good, but I don’t believe you would get paid if the post was deleted and if it was a post on my forum, it would be deleted.

So how can you get paid to post on a forum. Well after surfing around I found a forum that talked about webmasters hireing people to post on their new or inactive forums. I was interested in how this worked as I have just started my forum Cash and Chat. Now I don’t have the money to pay someone to post on there right now, but who knows it might be helpful. The best part about this site is that you are paid to post on that forum and you have to post relevant topics and ideas. It’s just a way for the forum owner to get post up that people can respond to and get the forum moving.

I’m thinking I may just see if I can start doing this. I love forums and I post already in a few daily. I wouldn’t mind makeing a few cents for something I do anyway! If your interested in either getting paid to post on forums or paying people to post on yours then check out Wired Flame

Make Money Online, Differently

Posted by Holly On June - 29 - 2008

Many people are jumping on the make money online blog train. There are a ton of make money online blogs! Next time your checking around the internet I want you to take a close look at how these blogs are set up. Before you do that though, take a look at johnchow.com and then the others. Most of the time you Paltalk Attract 300x250will find you have a sense that you have been to that blog before, when you get that feeling think about what john chows blog looks like. Yes your not crazy they all look the same!

Here is the problem with doing that to your blog. I look at blogs that are trying to copy him exactly and think “run away” so I leave them and never come back. There are a few exceptions, but I don’t read them often. My tip for you if your starting a make money online blog is this, make it different, have a different approach, don’t copy exactly what the pro’s are doing, because it may not work for you or people will just see you as a copycat site and run away.

My advice, unless your site is about cars, don’t get a theme with one. That is the first thing that bothers me and a few other people. Find something else that you think represents money and power. I have used a home on this site and now of course I have money bags. Find something you like or make your own theme. In other words be unique so that people remember you.

Expand when making money online

Posted by Holly On June - 23 - 2008

Something I learned early on in my online quest to make money was to make sure I didn’t just do one thing. I blog, but I also do mystery shopping and get paid to sites that help me get through the hard times. This past month is a great example. I have not made much blogging, but because I had a mystery shop that paid well I will not have to worry about a lack of funds. I had hoped that I could get a head, but at least I am not behind any.

When you look to making money online you want to expand into different areas. Eventually I plan to start selling jewelry or Avon again just to add to what I can do. I may even try something else. Who knows. I will always blog as I love doing it. I may cut down on the number of blogs I have though I think I now have too many.

Decorate and make money

Posted by Holly On June - 12 - 2008

A few months ago I decided to see if Feng shui could help me make money. Well I have found it may actually work. You can read about it on my interior design blog. I figured what would it hurt. All I had to do was plant a few seeds and watch them grow. Unfortunately the first time did not work, but the second time did.

I did this because I’m an interior design student and interested in feng shui and how it works. It’s a big deal right now and many people swear by it, even Donald Trump. I figure if it’s good for him, I have to see if it works. My income has gone up and I may even be able to get a mortgage to buy a home. I now have to come up with the down payment. I’m hoping I can do it by the end of August.

The point of this post is that try anything that is free, or only cost $5 or less. See where it gets you and go from there.

New look!

Posted by Holly On June - 11 - 2008

I finally have a new look that I really like. I hope you do too. I wanted something a little simpler then what I had before and of course more colorful. It’s still a work in progress so you will be seeing some more changes. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Swat cash and free advertising

Posted by Holly On June - 4 - 2008

Swat cash decided this month to give away 50 free clicks in their paid to click section to all members. This is great as I am always looking for a way to get some extra traffic and exposure. The catch to this giveaway is that you have to be a member so sign up and check them out.

I love Swat Cash because they give away so much. Every week they give away $1000 to one lucky forum member who has 50 vialed post or more. They also have some great contest and other fun prizes. I’m also addicted to their map game where you can attack other members and earn points. All and all a fun time and they actually pay unlike most sites. I’ve been with them for a long time now and have made well over $1000 with them.

Paid blogging and ignorance

Posted by Holly On June - 3 - 2008

Something I have been noticing more and more is that advertisers on most paid to blog companies are requiring that you don’t have any links, post or even mention Pay per post, IZEA and so on. I find this funny as they seem to think they they will be harmed in some way. The only thing so far that I have seen is that bloggers have been smacked by google, not the advertisers.

What I find funny is this. I have a blog that has pr, but has been banned by advertisers because I do work for Pay Per Post. This blog was Google smacked at one point, but here is the thing. I didn’t change what I did, I kept doing paid post and really in my opinion Google can bite me as Pay Per Post and Izea have made me more money then Google ever will.  Anyway back to my point.

Many bloggers use different companies and personally I think that the paid to blog companies that allow an advertiser to put this requirement in their advertisement are really making themselves look bad. I am probably not going to be using the company that allowed my blog to be banned anymore as I really am unimpressed with them anyway. I think in the past year I have done 6 jobs for them but with pay per post I have done over 200.

These are some of the decisions you have to make as a blogger. For me Pay Per Post is the main way I make money. I’m not going to drop them to make less and the sooner these advertisers see that the better off they will be as there are some very good bloggers they are missing out on because they are scared of google.
