Sell Jewelry With A Party

Posted by Holly On November - 9 - 2008

A few days ago I went to a jewelry party that my sisters friend was having. I have to say not only was I very impressed with the quality of the jewelry, but the company as well. I have been thinking of starting a party business again and I think I have found a good one. The company is called Premier Designs and they are based out of Dallas Texas. They have a great business plan and not many jewelers (people selling the jewelry) The women showing us the jewelry told me they have about 28,000 jewelers in the US. To put that in perspective, there are about 28,000 Mary Kay representatives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area alone. As you can see it is a growing business that is not extremely competitive.

The downfall to this business is that it is not cheap to start up, it’s about $390 to start, but that includes jewelry and more, It’s really not that bad when you think about it. Also the company give you 50% in commission, much higher then other companies and you get paid first, you don’t have to send them all the money and then get paid. You send them what is left after your 50% cut.

The jewelry is also of good quality, the women explained the different types of jewelry available, there is costume jewelry that you find at Clares and Ice, this jewelry usually is in style for a short time. There is Fashion Jewelry that is of better quality and usually last a long time and hardly ever goes out of style and there is Fine Jewelry, like wedding bans, rings and so on. The jewelry from Premier Designs falls into the fashion category and is very well priced, my mother bought a pearl ring for $29 plus tax and some of the other pieces were about $50. I’m looking at buying a set of pearls for about $50 when we have our party next month.

The best part about this business is that you don’t have to compete with an online site like you do with Avon, they also don’t have stores like Avon or other businesses do. This is all done personally though parties. They also have a tier system so if you refer someone you get a percentage of what they make, paid to you by the company, not the jeweler. This really does look like a great company to check out. If your interested go to their website and fill out the form to check it out. The company will call a local consultant in your area to meet with you and talk about the opportunity.

Is It Time To Invest?

Posted by Holly On October - 13 - 2008

I have been thinking a lot about investing in the stock market. I don’t have the funds right now, but I need time to do research anyway. I took a look at some sites and really didn’t find the information I need. Eventually I found a great investment site called Inner 8. The best part about this site is that sign up is free and easy, it only took me about 30 seconds to get into the site and start looking around. I love the get ideas section where I can find information on companies based on the area they are in. I am very interested in alternative energy and they have some great information these types of companies and I know I will be investing with this site very soon. I also love the profile section as you can let others know why your on the site, so if your like me and don’t know a lot you can get some help and advice from people who do know what they are doing.

I know many people are saying that you don’t really want to invest, but I’m only 25 and am not investing a ton right now. I just want to check it out to see what I may be able to get over the next 25-30 years. So yes I have time and if you have at least 5-10 years to wait on cashing out you should really think of investing too. I plan on using it for retirement as I’m sure there will be no social security when I get to that age. Even if there is at least I’m not worrying about it once I’m there.

My New Get Paid To Post Forum

Posted by Holly On July - 7 - 2008

Right now it’s still in beta until I can make sure all these mods I have added work. Other then that it should be open to the public sometime this week or next. I am still accepting beta testers so if you want to join and check it out sign up at cash and chat. I will have to manually approve you.

Eventually I plan on adding an invitation mod so people can invite friends. I had hoped to just do referral links, but there is not phpbb3 compatible mod for it. So right now you just post and earn points! I will also eventually be adding a shop mod for people to spend their points in.

I’m very excited about this as it’s the first time I’m doing a paid to post forum. I have a ton of great ideas, some I can do, some I can’t do because I cant write scripts. Hopefully someone will help me out eventually. Anyway again if your interested in beta testing or you just want to check it out (guest can read post) head over to Cash and Chat and let me know what you think.

Make Money Watching Movies

Posted by Holly On June - 17 - 2008

Yes this is real. Here is the deal with Movie theater auditing. This is something I do and have done for just over 4 years. I enjoy it because my job does change, I get to watch at least one free movie over the weekend and it pays well. I make anywhere between $150 and $300 in a weekend. Others I have run into on jobs have made over $700 in one weekend.

The big thing with this is that you have to be able to work all weekend. That means no parties or other weekend events. Yes after time you can start to let them know you are busy, but if you do that right away they will just stop hiring you. All you usually have to do is count the number of people going in to the movie you are assigned to. Sometimes the company will have you do more then that. It really just depends on what the client wants.

The following are a list of a few companies that do theater auditing.

Certified Field Associates

TNS Media

LRA

Write your way to fame and money

Posted by Holly On May - 14 - 2008

No I’m not talking about writing an E-book. I’m talking about publishing an actual book that will be sold in an actual store. You will need a good amount of cash for this one, somewhere between $500 and $2000 to do this.

Many of us that blog have the ability to write our own stories, we do it every day. We work hard on each and every one of our post and hope that someone will read them. Some of us hope to make money doing this while others do it just for fun. I personally have 2 books I have been working on. One I started in high school and lost when our computer crashed. I still know what I wanted to do with it and did start once to rewrite it. The other is one that I got from a strange dream I had. I think it would make a better movie, but I’m not good at writing those types of things.

Remember everyone has a story to tell. If you can come up with the money to get it published isn’t it worth it? If you can’t you can always try to push it to a publisher. Me I’m thinking of getting one of my stories published and then selling it myself online. Yes I’ll have to deal with shipping, but thats not a big deal.

Social spark and the fun you can have

Posted by Holly On April - 25 - 2008

Now that social spark is live you should check it out. I am really happy I got in on this because it is a big thing that will really help average people make some extra money. The best part is that you don’t even have to write post for them if you don’t’ want to. You can just use their sponsorship and make some money that way. I have used one on this blog and I have another one set to start on here soon. The other thing I like about social spark is that they are search engine friendly. All links are no follow and you are required to show that the post is sponsored by using a badge, like the one at the bottom of this post. I also like it because I can give my honest opinion of a product or service without worrying about meeting a preset tone.

SocialSpark is different from other pay you to blog services. One it’s a social site so you can get on and talk to people and figure out who actually writes the blogs you read. I couldn’t believe how many blogs I have looked at but had no clue that the person wrote another blog I read sometimes. It’s nice to know that way you feel like you know the person better and can enjoy their blog that much more.

For any blogger looking to make some money from home Social spark is a great way to do it. Not only does it bring more traffic to your blog by getting you out there in the network, but you meet some great people and make good friends in the process.
